A chiropractic adjustment will make your body feel amazing. Other terminology for chiropractic adjustments are as follows: chiropractic manipulation, manual manipulation, or spinal manipulation. The adjustment refers to the manipulation of the vertebrae that has abnormal movements and are not functioning properly. A chiropractic adjustment will assist in alleviating these issues.
Physical therapy rehabilitation uses mechanical force and movement to improve mobility, function, and even quality of life through examination, diagnosis, prognosis, and physical intervention. Our physical therapists are trained and licensed to examine, evaluate, diagnose, and treat impairment, functional limitations, and disabilities in patients.
An auto accident has the ability to tweak your neck, your spine, or even force your entire body out of proper alignment. Our trained professionals are ready to locate the source of each issue and prescribe the necessary adjustments and corrective exercises as they see fit. Our goal is to have you feeling like yourself again in no time.
In the 1990s, biomechanical research at the Loyola Stritch School of Medicine found decompression to do three things: Decrease intradiscal pressures, increase the intervertebral disc space, and increase nerve canal space (foramina). All of which reduces stress on the vertebral disc, ultimately increasing the spine’s range of motion and decreasing pain.

- Thoracic Spine
- Lumbar Spine
Cold Laser Therapy
Therapeutic lasers have been used for healing since the mid-1960s. These cold lasers work by supplying energy to the body’s tissues in the form of “non-thermal photons of light”. The body is able to absorb this external light energy on a cellular level and transform it into chemical energy, which the body uses to accelerate the normal healing process.

Interferential Current Therapy
When you combine two medium-frequency currents at slightly different cycles per second “interference” occurs. This interference blocks the transmission of pain signals to the spinal cord. This interferental stimulation is concentrated at a point of intersection between the two electrodes, deep withing the tissues. IFC (Interferential Current Therapy), modulates current at a high frequency (4000 cycles per second) whereas TENS modulates current at 125 cycles per second. IFC reaches greater depths and over a larger volume of tissue than other forms of electrotherapy. Normally, deep pain is difficult to reach with traditional modalities. However, IFC penetrates deep for blocking pain signals and to increase blood flow to the region. Increasing localized blood flow will carry away edematous fluid and tissue toxins from the damaged tissue. IFC, has been used extensively in managing pain, swelling and inflammation due to soft tissue irritation from trauma or degenerative changes with less reliance on narcotics.
IFC, can be used for pain associated with several conditions:
- Acute / Chronic Back Pain
- Degenerative Joint Disease
- Strains & Sprains
- Shingles (Neuropathic Pain)
Therapeutic Ultrasound is a modality that has been used by therapists since the 1940s. Therapeutic ultrasound sound waves operate at 800 – 3000 cycles per second. The sound waves that pass through the skin cause a vibration or cavitation of the local tissues. This vibration or cavitation causes deep heating to the local tissues even though usually no heat sensation is felt by the patient. The overall effects are increases in tissue relaxation, reduced local swelling, and inflammation.

Traditional Chinese medicine is based on the philosophy that the universe and the body are opposing forces. The constant flow of energy keeps them balanced. When the flow of energy is blocked, illness will occur. Acupuncture therapy will release blocked energy, resolve the pain, and improve sleep, digestive functions, and sense of well-being.
